Ekwaamjigenang Children’s Centre (ECC)

Ekwaamjigenang in Anishinaabemowin means “Our Children, Our Sacred Gifts”. Children are one of the many sacred gifts “Gitchi Manitou”, the Creator, has given to us to be responsible for. We believe our Children are our sacred gifts and the goal of the MCFN Child Care is to create a comfortable home away from home where children feel welcomed, loved, respected, nurtured and safe. Ekwaamjigenang Children’s Centre (ECC) has a license capacity of 57 childcare spaces; infant, toddler and preschool age groups. The Registered Early Childhood Educators provide a culturally based positive learning environment for the children through a variety of child led activities.
