Public Notice: OPP Shelter-in-Place Order Lifted — No Active Threat

The Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation (MCFN) wishes to advise community members that the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an alleged armed robbery within the surrounding area overnight. As part of their response, the OPP issued a shelter-in-place order for nearby residents until 5:42am this morning.
The order has been lifted and there is no current threat to the community.
We recognize that incidents of this nature can be alarming. We appreciate the cooperation of community members and thank everyone for prioritizing safety while police operations are underway.
MCFN will continue to coordinate with law enforcement and will share any additional updates should they become available.
