Second annual Celebration of Allyship and Treaties

Members of the Mississauga of the Credit First Nation are invited to join the second annual Celebration of Allyship and Treaties, a community to community celebration of arts, culture and cuisine. As a thank-you to Treaty Holders, members of the Oakville community will be bringing this celebration to MCFN on Saturday, March 2nd 2024, from 4:30 to 7 pm at the MCFN Community Centre.
The event will have live performances featuring Afro-Indigenous Hip-Hop artist Joseph Saranhes and many more local performers to MCFN and Oakville. Food will be provided by Chef Tawnya Brant, owner of Yawekon restaurant.
The event is open to all Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation Members and Staff. Oakville community members in attendance will be invited guests of our Ally Council Members.
Debwewin: The Oakville Truth Project, led by Elder Peter Schuler, is a collaboration between the Oakville Community Foundation and MCFN, is proud to present this integrated community celebration in recognition of Treaty Week and the signing of Treaty 22 in Oakville.
