The Kindergarten Afterschool Activities (KASA) program provides daily after-school care for children in our kindergarten classes until 5:00 p.m. The extended day focuses on outdoor exploration and free play, with healthy snacks offered each afternoon. The program is led by our dedicated RECEs and Kindergarten Assistants. KASA also offers programs during March Break as well as a Summer Camp.

Megan LaForme, RECE – EarlyON Facilitator & Kindergarten Afterschool Activities
I graduated Mohawk College in 2017 and became a Registered Early Childhood Educator. I joined MCFN in 2018 working at Ekwaamjigenang Children’s Centre. I was happy to join the EarlyON team in 2024 where I have a unique role working as an EarlyON facilitator, as well as, working in our Kindergarten afterschool program at Lloyd S. King Elementary School.
Beth Tuitakalai, RECE – Kindergarten
I graduated from Sheridan College with my ECE in 2010, and from Brock University with my BA in Child and Youth Studies in 2014. I started at MCFN in 2022 and at LSK in 2024. A fun fact about me is that I am crafty and love to make baby mobiles!
Michaela Servos, RECE – Kindergarten
I graduated from Mohawk College in Early Childhood Education in 2007. I joined MCFN in 2025 as the Kindergarten RECE at Lloyd S. King Elementary. Fun Fact about me: I am a crazy bird lady.
Aalyha Martin, RECE – Kindergarten
I graduated from Early Childhood Education Program at Niagara College in 2025 and joined MCFN in the same year as a RECE in the Kindergarten classroom here at Lloyd S. King Elementary. Fun Fact: I thoroughly enjoy creating, whether that be sewing, beading or other fun projects
