Air Quality Advisory due to wildfire smoke in the area
Posted on June 6, 2025

Environment Canada has issued an air quality advisory for the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and most of Ontario due to wildfire smoke drifting into the region.
What you need to know:
The air may look hazy and smell like smoke.
People with lung or heart conditions, elders, young children, and pregnant people are especially at risk.
Outdoor activities should be limited where possible.
Stay safe:
Stay indoors with windows and doors closed.
Use air purifiers or fans with clean filters if available.
Avoid strenuous outdoor work or exercise.
Wear a well-fitting mask (like an N95) if you must be outside for long.
We are monitoring the situation and will share updates as they come in. Please check on vulnerable relatives and neighbours.
