Kindergarten

The LSK Kindergarten program is designed to ensure learners experience a seamless and supportive transition into the school system from early years environments, such as licensed child care or the Child and Family Centre. Rooted in the unique priorities of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation (MCFN) community, the program employs child-centered pedagogy that emphasizes Indigenous ways of knowing, language, and culture. This holistic approach is balanced with a focus on healthy nutrition and social-emotional well-being. The curriculum delivers a robust land-based learning component alongside the standard Ontario kindergarten expectations, ensuring a comprehensive and culturally grounded educational foundation.
