  • Trail Walks
These outdoor explorations give children and families the chance to connect with nature, build curiosity, and explore!  During our walks, children observe seasonal changes, discover local wildlife, and explore freely. Trail walks encourage mindfulness, wonder, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world—all while supporting healthy development and family bonding.
  • Yoga
  • Baby Food Making Classes
Families explore how to prepare nutritious, developmentally appropriate foods using simple, wholesome ingredients. With guidance and conversation, caregivers learn about traditional Indigenous ingredients and preparation methods that honor our Anishinaabe cultures and food practices, with a focus on eating with the seasons. These sessions support healthy eating habits, cultural connection, hands-on learning, and confidence throughout your child’s feeding journey—all within a welcoming, inclusive environment. We are joined by a Registered Well-Baby Nurse and a Registered Dietitian! Some of the foods we have made include, Wild rice and berries, squash, Sweet Potatoes, and Chicken!

  • Make and Takes
These hands-on experiences allow families to create simple, engaging materials they can bring home and use in their everyday play. Each Make & Take supports learning, creativity, and connection—whether it’s a sensory item, a literacy activity, or a craft that encourages exploration. Families leave with something meaningful they’ve made together, along with ideas to continue exploring at home.
  • Risky Play
Risky play refers to thrilling, challenging activities that allow children to test their limits, make decisions, build resilience, and connect to the land. Through climbing, balancing, rough-and-tumble play, and exploring uncertain elements, children develop confidence, risk-assessment skills, and physical competence. When supported with thoughtful supervision—not prevention—risky play helps children learn to navigate the world safely while fostering independence and wonder! By allowing children to try new challenges at their own pace, we help them learn how to assess risk, make decisions, and grow through meaningful play.
