MCFN Health Services Welcomes Respite Worker Chelsea King
Posted on January 19, 2024
Aanii, my name is Chelsea King. I am the daughter of Dean (Tony) King and the late Kelly King (Sault). I graduated as a Personal Support Worker in June of 2021. I recently became the communities Adult Respite Worker in September of 2023. My role as the Adult Respite worker is to provide respite care to people on reserve who are homebound while relieving their caregivers under the supervision of the Community Health Nurse.
I am currently in the process of working towards 1-2 clients per week. This would be an intake process, respite care will be during Monday-Friday 9-4pm, no weekends or evenings. The Adult Respite Care Program is a traditional holistic approach to client centred care meeting the needs of clients and families in a good way.
