The MISSISSAUGAS OF THE CREDIT FIRST NATION is accepting applications for the full-time, permanent position of Department of Lifelong Learning Administrative Assistant.
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Department of Lifelong Learning Administrative Assistant who will play an essential role in supporting the daily operations of the Department of Lifelong Learning. Reporting to the Director of Lifelong Learning, this position provides administrative, records management, meeting coordination, and Board support services that contribute to the effective delivery of programs, services, and departmental initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Coordinate calendars, meetings, correspondence, records, and administrative processes for the Department of Lifelong Learning.
- Prepare reports, presentations, meeting materials, agendas, and minutes while maintaining accurate and confidential documentation.
- Support departmental planning, reporting, onboarding activities, and operational projects.
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the Board of Lifelong Learning, including meeting coordination, minute-taking, and document management.
Qualifications & Experience
- We are looking for candidates who bring:
- College Diploma in Office Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- One to two years of administrative experience.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Canva.
- Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative working relationships with staff, leadership, and community members.
- Reliable vehicle, valid Class G driver’s license, and ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Current satisfactory Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Check or ability to obtain.
- Assets: Experience working within Indigenous organizations or communities, Knowledge of Indigenous culture, governance structures, and community-based organizations.
