The MISSISSAUGAS OF THE CREDIT FIRST NATION is accepting applications for the full-time, permanent position of Field Coordinator.
We are seeking a highly organized, dependable, and community-minded Field Coordinator who will play an essential role in supporting the Archaeological Program Unit (APU) by coordinating communications, scheduling, deployment, and compensation for Field Liaison Representatives working throughout MCFN Treaty Territory. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at coordinating multiple priorities, and is committed to supporting meaningful work that protects MCFN interests and heritage.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Process project notifications, confirm participation agreements and project details, and maintain project files within approved management systems.
- Coordinate and manage daily and weekly Field Liaison Representative (FLR) schedules, ensuring adequate project coverage and timely communication of schedule changes.
- Review and submit timesheets, reimbursements, payroll information, and related reports while maintaining accurate employee and project records.
- Support field operations by coordinating PPE distribution, mileage tracking, hotel bookings, training requirements, and scheduling tools.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for FLR inquiries and coordinate communication between staff, consultants, proponents, and management.
- Assist with FLR orientations, training sessions, and continuous improvement of operational procedures and policies.
Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for candidates who bring:
- A High School Diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum of two (2) years of related experience in administration, scheduling, coordination, or a similar role.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of project management, scheduling software, and payroll or timesheet processes.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to successfully complete a Criminal Record Check.
- Assets: College Diploma in Office Administration, Experience coordinating field operations, schedules, payroll, or employee deployment, Experience working within a First Nation organization or community-focused environment.
