Our Members, Our Success: Megan LaForme

Megan LaForme

Megan LaForme works at MCFN as an EarlyON Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) and KASA Facilitator, where she supports children and families through early learning programs rooted in care, connection, and community.

While working at MCFN, Megan has continued her post‑secondary education through Brock University, where she studies in an asynchronous learning environment. Through this experience, she has connected with Early Childhood Educators from across the country—an opportunity that has broadened her perspective and strengthened both her professional practice and confidence as an educator. Megan plans to continue her educational journey by pursuing a Bachelor of Education, with hopes of completing a Master’s degree in the future.

Megan’s work at EarlyON has reinforced the importance of building trusting, respectful relationships with families and community members. By creating safe and inclusive spaces, she helps ensure children and caregivers feel comfortable sharing their ideas, experiences, and cultural knowledge. Collaboration, open communication, and mutual respect are central to the learning environments she helps cultivate.

For Megan, the EarlyON and KASA Team is more than a workplace—it is a community built on support and shared commitment. Her journey reflects the ways education, lived experience, and dedication to family and community can come together in meaningful careers at MCFN.
