The MCFN Public Works Department provides pickup services for recyclable waste and issues landfill cards for the THLFS (Tom Howe Landfill Site).
Develops and implements standards and policies for the operation and maintenance of the First Nation’s infrastructure to ensure safety and to prolong the life of our assets for the following:
Note: Band-owned buildings and property does not include the industrial site (industrial building and plaza nor Native Horizon Treatment Centre).
Monitors the THLFS (Tom Howe Landfill Site) to ensure the landfill is operating in accordance with the THLFS Agreement. Oversees and implements recommendations on other environmental issues as they arise such as the Boston Creek Baseline Study and the Nichols Quarry.
The Mississaugas of the Credit First nation will provide lawn care service for MCFN band members aged 60 and over, living on the MCFN and to those who are under 60 years of age who require the service and are eligible through the Home and Community Care Program.
