Beat the Heat at Our Drop-In Cooling Station!

With the hot weather continuing, our Social & Health Department is opening the Lower Level as a Drop-In Cooling Station for community members looking to cool off, relax, and escape the heat.
🗓️ Tuesday, June 30th
🕣 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
🗓️ Thursday, July 2nd
🕣 8:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
🗓️ Friday, July 3rd
🕣 8:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
💧 Remember to:
• Drink plenty of water, even if you don’t feel thirsty.
• Wear lightweight, light-coloured clothing.
• Check in on Elders, young children, and neighbours who may be more vulnerable to the heat.
• Limit outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day.

⚠️ Know the signs of heat stroke: confusion, dizziness, fainting, a high body temperature, and hot, red skin. Heat stroke is a medical emergency—call 911 immediately and move the person to a cool place while waiting for help.
