Lloyd S. King Elementary School welcomed its first classes in September 1998. Named after a respected teacher and elder, Lloyd S. King, the school provides education for students from Kindergarten to Grade 8. In addition to the standard subjects taught in elementary school, students are taught Anishinaabemowin and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation culture. The mural “Kiinwi Dabaadjamowin” meaning “Our Story” is unique to the school. It provides a visual history of the people of the Mississugas of the Credit First Nation. Many people have visited the school to admire the mural and learn the history of MCFN.
