MCFN honoured the of the 2022 Eagle / Migizi Award recipients on Saturday Sept. 10 with family, friends, and community members.

Dr. Malcolm King received the Trailblazer Award. He a health researcher at the University of Saskatchewan and uses his MCFN heritage to guide his work.

Jordan Jamieson received the Community Volunteer Award for his many years of service to MCFN, workshops, drumming and much more.

Dr. Donald Smith received the Friend of the First Nation Award for his research, speaking about MCFN’s history and his book, Sacred Feathers which gives information about MCFN’s first chief Reverend Peter Jones.
