This year, the Royal Canadian Legion has partnered with HSBC Bank Canada to make it safe, secure, and easier than ever to donate and wear a poppy with touchless HSBC “Pay Tribute” tap-enabled donation boxes.
Amongst the traditional poppy boxes found coast to coast, a total of 250 HSBC “Pay Tribute” donation boxes will be distributed nationally across the HSBC Bank Canada branch network starting Friday, October 30, and within select Royal Canadian Legion branches and other locations. We hope to expand the pilot program to more locations across the country in the future.

October 30 – November 11
This year, HSBC Bank Canada has made the act of Remembrance safe, secure and easier than ever. Look for our new tap enabled Poppy boxes at over 250 locations across Canada, including select HSBC branches.
We all know the importance of the act of Remembrance and wearing a Poppy in memory of our veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice. HSBC wanted to uphold and support this important tradition. That’s why we partnered with The Royal Canadian Legion to modernize Poppy box donations, and offer a new option for donors. Perfect at a time when fewer people are carrying cash, and we all continue to prioritize safety in the midst of a pandemic.
The Digital Poppy
The last Friday in October to Remembrance Day on Nov. 11, Canadians can visit www.MyPoppy.ca and download their Digital Poppy to complement the traditional lapel poppy that’s synonymous with honouring the service and sacrifice of our veterans.
All funds raised through MyPoppy.ca are directed to the Legion National Foundation, which supports initiatives that further Veterans’ health and wellness, connect youth and children to the contributions of Veterans, and provide students with scholarships and bursaries to pursue their education.
We thank all Canadians for supporting the Legion’s Poppy Campaign, honouring Canada’s Veterans.
