Over these past few weeks, we have seen people around world, especially young people, raise their voice against injustice. While the situation continues to unfold, one thing that is clear is the importance of students taking action to foster change in their communities.  Ultimately, the future starts with them.

This holds true in the journey toward reconciliation for Indigenous peoples. Here at Nelson, we are committed to being a partner in this journey. That is why, we are recognizing Indigenous student leaders and what they have done in their community by creating the Indigenous Student Scholarship.

This scholarship is awarded to a grade 12 First Nation, Métis or Inuit student who is working to preserve indigenous languages and culture.

The $10,000 scholarship will help that student start their post-secondary education with meaningful financial support.

If you know of a grade 12 indigenous student making a difference in their community, please encourage them to apply by visiting nelson.com/scholarship or by clicking on the link below.
Applications close June 30th, so make sure you share with your students today.
