The DOCA staff worked diligently to plan and host a 1920s-themed, year-end banquet to recognize the Field Liaison Representatives (FLRs).

The banquet was held on December 10, 2016 at the Best Western Brantford Hotel and Conference Centre. The banquet was an important opportunity to recognize all of the hard work the FLRs do in representing MNCFN and DOCA in the field as archaeological and environmental assessment monitors.

The FLRs work across our Territory, throughout the year and in extreme weather conditions ranging from extreme heat to extreme cold.

The celebration was fully sponsored by CN rail, and the sponsorship enabled DOCA to host a celebration complete with awards, decoration, live music and a great dinner.

Beautifully-etched plaques were presented to each FLR to honour their hard work, with select FLRs receiving special awards for outstanding achievements as follows:

  • Caring Together Award Winners: Jordan Jamieson and Mike Maracle
  • Perfect Attendance Award Winner:  Chris Tobicoe
  • Team Player Award Winners: Joe Gouthro, Jordan Jamieson, Jodie Lovegrove, and Lisa Sault
  • Observing and Reporting Award Winners: Jodie Lovegrove and C.J. Hottinger
  • Environmental Field Liaison Award Winners: Alison LaForme and Leah Sault
  • Ambassadorship Award Winners: Joe Gouthro, Mike Maracle, Chris Tobicoe, and Krystal VanEvery.
